This exclusive cushion is hand-made from the original silk Uzbek Ikat fabric that bears the honorable name Khan-Atlas, also known as the Royal Silk Ikat Fabric, or the King of Ikats. These fabrics have been highly valued due to their refined textures, distinguished, extravagant patterns and illustrious color combinations. The complexity of the weaving process requires ultimate craftsmanship. All Royal Silk Ikat fabrics are hand-made only by the most capable and accomplished artisans. Historically only accessible to the select few, these unique cushions are now open to the world to enjoy, cherish and share.


Product Details:

  • Material: natural organic silk (80%) with a small addition of viscose (20%).
  • The backside is made of premium natural linen.
  • Double-sided Ikat cushions are available on request as custom orders.
  • Elegant concealed zipper on the side.
  • Accented with piping. If you would like to receive a version with no piping, please include a note with your order.
  • Cushion size: square and rectangular cushions are available in varying sizes from 30 cm to 50 cm in width (from 12” to 20”) and from 30 cm to 60m in length (12” to 24”).
  • Custom orders are available for cushions of most sizes from a broad range of our unique Ikat fabrics. Please message us to discuss your requirements.

These rare fabrics have always been made by hand in very small batches. Passed down from generation to generation, the centuries-old artistic traditions responsible for the unique Ikat techniques and designs live on in modern-day Uzbekistan. Our Uzbek Ikats remain true to their original roots and remain as brilliant and refreshing today as they were centuries ago.

These gorgeous Ikat fabrics are a cultural landmark of Uzbekistan and Central Asia, internationally acclaimed for their infinitely diverse designs. The rich traditional Ikat patterns begin with hand-dyeing the threads. Once placed on the hand loom, the threads gradually form an organized design in the hands of a master artisan inspired by the creative heritage of the ancient Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva. In capable hands, the Ikat designs can take a limitless number of brilliant shapes.
